According to the researcher Edward Giovannucci, MD, Sc.D., professor of nutrition and epidemiology at the Harvard School of Public Health, coffee appeared as a protective agent in cancer associated with obesity, estrogen and insulin.
Drinking more than four cups of decaffeinated coffee per day was associated with a 25 percent reduced risk for endometrial cancer, Giovannucci said.

In Study Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers and Prevention, a journal of the American Association for Cancer Research, as many as 67,470 women, lovers of coffee without caffeine endomitrium decreased risk of cancer in recent years.

The more days of stroke disease is increasingly becoming a frightening specter for everyone. Especially for those with less attention to lifestyle, be it in terms of diet, or other activities.

Recently there is new research in the Department of Neurology University of Miami show that stimulates nerve cells in the brain with magnetic therapy can help recovery from stroke.

During Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), the doctors placed a large magnetic coil against the scalp of patients, which creates an electrical current to stimulate nerve cells. After a stroke, one side of the brain can become overactive and the other side can be overloaded at work. With TMS therapy, the balance between the two sides of the brain can be restored.

From research conducted by the Department of Neurology, ten of the 20 people who suffer from stroke, accept magnetic therapy every day for two weeks. Whereas the other 10 received treatment outside of TMS.

After walking for two weeks of the study, the stroke patients were tested to measure the level of copying lines and figures, the test also linking daily activities, like reading the numbers on a cell phone call, the selection of coins, to read the menu.

Overall, participants who received the magnetic therapy increased by 16.3% due after the therapy, the patient’s recovery rate increased to 22.6%.

Researchers Giacomo Koch, MD, PhD, of the Santa Lucia Foundation in Rome, Italy, and colleagues showed that the recovery could be the combined effect of a mental exercise as well as TMS.

According to Ralph L. Sacco, MD, chairman of the Neurology Department at the School of Medicine, University of Miami, the study of TMS is very interesting and important. This discovery is the first step to a process of healing strokes.

Patrick Lyden, MD, chairman of the Neurology Department at the Medical Center, Los Angeles, adding that with this magnet therapy, we can get more patients into a good rehab program.Since this is a new treatment and very interesting information.

Alan Manevitz, MD, a psychiatrist in New York City, Lenox Hill Hospital, using TMS to treat patients affected by depression, including depression that can follow a stroke. He added that new research shows that TMS has a tremendous potential in treating stroke-related disability.

So far, the TMS units said to be very expensive. As said by Randolph Marshall, MD, MS, Department of Neurology at Columbia University Medical Center, the TMS requires special training, so the price tends to exorbitant. However, TMS is expected to be a breath of fresh air for healing therapy, especially for people with stroke.

Daily doses of herbal extracts roses can reduce risk of heart disease. Obese patients who consumed drinks herbal extracts roses every day for six weeks of the results of blood pressure and cholesterol levels dropped significantly.

Small fruit found on roses bloom used for centuries as a traditional medicine to treat arthritis.

In a recent study published in European Journal of Clinical Nutrition, scientists at Lund University in Sweden recruited 31 obese men and women. They are encouraged to consume 40 grams of powdered roses every day for six weeks with drinking apple and grape extracts.

At the end of the experiment, researchers measured body weight, blood pressure, blood lipid levels, glucose of volunteers. They found an average decline of 3.4 per cent from four factors trigger diabetes and heart disease. Meanwhile, their total cholesterol also decreased almost five percent.

Further examination revealed decreased levels of LDL cholesterol that can increase the risk of heart disease.

As reported by dailymail, scientists are optimistic affirmed the cardiovascular benefits of the extract of roses. It could even be used as an alternative therapy of patients who are allergic to anti-cholesterol drug.

The width of the hips is usually used to measure the level of obesity. However, research from Australia, recently, also found that if the hip can reduce the possibility of premature death. Because, big hips protect against metabolic disorders such as diabetes (read: Waist Measure of Obesity).

Deakin University in Melbourne, Australia, found that if a way which is taken almost as a measure of obesity. The researchers measured waist and hip circumference that will reveal a strong relationship between diabetes and mortality.

The study is the result of cooperation with Sweden, Mauritius,Finland, Britain, and Denmark. “By accounting for the protective effect of hip circumference, we were able to isolate the negative health risks, as measured by waist circumference,” said Professor Stefan Soderberg from the University of Umea,Sweden.

Old skin is not only caused age. Many people do not think that the common practice of everyday also makes the skin wrinkles and look older. What?

“Many people do not think that the habits which they say okay it is a cause of premature aging,” says Mary P. Lupo, MD, a dermatologist from New Orleans, as reported by Health.com.

Here it is bad habits that can accelerate aging:

1. Wearing facial cleansing scrubcontaining

During this time people thought that the scrub can remove the dirtin the face better, but according to Lupo, cleaners that containscrub makes your skin irritated and eroded. In the end, the skin will look older.

“We recommend using a cleanser without soap scrub, or if you have time could use a little baking soda and warm water as a facial cleanser to remove dead skin cells,” advises Lupo.

2. Frequent bathing with warm water

The habit of bathing in warm water causes the fat layer that protects the skin cells become damaged and reduce humidity. Body fat will indeed restore the damaged was a few hours later, but as long as the fat is gone, the body continues to release moisture so that the symptoms appear wrinkled.

For that, Lupo suggests if you want to shower with warm water, do not get more than 10 minutes. Bathing with warm water does feel very comfortable and convenient, but if over time is not good for the skin.

3. Direct to comb the hair after a shower

Normally after a shower, the next habit to do is comb my hair. Apparently, according to Lupo habits can damage skin cells and makes hair fall out even faster bald. We recommend that you trim the hair first before bathing and better yet use a toner to strengthen hair.

4. Sleeping face down or face to the stomach

Be careful with your sleeping position. If your face while sleeping face down (the stomach), get ready for faster wrinkled. “The force of gravity makes the blood flow pulled down, and the eyes will looks well.

If this happens every night, skin can lose elasticity and collagen formed eye bags that make a person look older, “said Lupo. Better try to sleep with a flat pillow. Using a pillow of satin and silk materials can also reduce the risk of wrinkles.
